Firefighters save driver from crash in Oxfordshire near Banbury

Crews from Banbury and Deddington fire stations responded to the collision at around 11.30am on Monday, May 13.

The two-vehicle collision happened on Main Road in Lower Tadmarton, near Banbury.

A spokesperson for Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews found the driver’s legs trapped under the dashboard as a result of the impact.

“Our crews worked diligently alongside SCAS (South Central Ambulance Service), using battery-powered and hydraulic cutting and spreading equipment to free the driver,” the spokesperson said.

The road remained closed until the evening to allow investigation work.
